The Commonwealth Government is implementing aged care reforms to:

• put older people first

• improving the quality and safety of services offered

• empowering older people to make informed choices on the care they receive.

Stonnington Council currently delivers aged services under the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP). The new aged care program will combine CHSP, home care packages and short-term restorative care services and is planned to be rolled out from 1 July 2024.

Stonnington Council is hosting small interactive workshops to help community members understand and prepare for these changes. Limited spots are available.

Workshop Dates:

Thursday, 13 April: 10am-12 pm at Prahran
Tuesday, 18 April: 2-4 pm at Malvern
Wednesday, 19 April: 1.30-3.30 pm at Prahran
Thursday, 20 April: 10am-12 pm at Malvern
Wednesday, 26 April: 2.30-4.30 pm at Malvern
